The Sev-1 Database, referred to here as we, us, or the Platform, is a
PostgreSQL knowledge platform operated by Haider Z. This policy explains what we
collect, why, and how we handle it. We keep data collection to the minimum needed
to run the service.
What we collect
- Account details — your name and email address when you register.
- Activity in your account — reading progress, bookmarks, and the
“Was this helpful?” feedback you submit. This is tied to your account so your
experience is consistent across visits. - Payment information — handled entirely by Stripe. We never
see or store your full card number. We receive a confirmation that a payment
succeeded, the email used at checkout, and a subscription identifier so we can
unlock Pro access. - Browser storage — we use cookies for login sessions and browser
local storage for preferences such as light and dark theme and newsletter
prompts. These are not used to track you across other websites. - Server logs — standard request logs such as IP address and timestamp,
used for security and to limit repeated feedback votes.
Third parties we rely on
- Stripe — payment processing. See Stripe’s privacy policy for how they
handle card data. - Substack (haiderzdbre.substack.com) — if you subscribe to our newsletter,
your email is managed by Substack under their privacy policy.
How we use your data
- To provide your account and unlock the content your plan includes.
- To process payments and manage Pro subscriptions.
- To send essential service emails such as welcome, access, and billing notices.
- To protect the Platform from abuse.
We do not sell your personal data.
Data retention
We keep your account data for as long as your account exists. You can request
deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing us.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data.
Email [email protected] and we will respond
within a reasonable timeframe.
