A date/time field is out of range.

• Any driver (libpq, JDBC, psycopg, npgsql, pgx) surfaces this code in its error object so you can branch on it programmatically.
• PL/pgSQL can trap it by name: EXCEPTION WHEN datetime_field_overflow THEN.

Reproduce with the exact statement and read the full message in the server log (raise log_min_messages / set log_min_error_statement for more context).

A datetime calculation or input produced a field value outside the valid range (for example month 13 or an overflowing interval).

Steps to resolve 22008:

1. Validate date components before constructing the value.
2. Use make_date/make_timestamp with checked inputs.
3. Bound interval arithmetic to avoid overflow.
